SMTP authentication for Netscape Communicator 6 on MacOS

Netscape Communicator 6 for MacOS requires the following changes to be made in order for you to use SMTP authentication:

1. Run Netscape 6, under the Edit menu, select Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings.
2. Select Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the left list.
3. Change Server Name to: REMOTESMTP.WYITH.NET:5190
4. Ensure that Use name and password is checked
5. Enter your SMTP username for the User Name
6. Ensure that under Use secure connection (SSL), Never is selected.
7. Click OK
